Fashion Pioneers-BoF Interviews Net-a-Porter's founder Natalie Massenet

Natalie Massenet is a true pioneer who exactly ten years ago had a simple idea and turned it into a fashion empire with one main goal-- satisfying you, the final consumer.

Natalie Massenet can be described as nothing less but inspirational. In the second installment of BOF's Fashion Pioneers, Imran interviews the fortunate Massenet on the recent acquisition by Richemont, a decade of success, luck, logistics, Mr. Porter and believe it or not, the IPad. Massenet speaks of the importance of staying relevant and ahead of the curve. Along with describing the launch of the very cool Ipad application for the online magazine, Massenet delves into the future of fashion buying.

We all find it odd to window shop in sweltering July and see nothing but fur coats. Massenet offers her opinion on the fashion frustration, stating that the industry should skip a season and let the buyers do their jobs. Originally fashion week was a closed door to everyone but industry professionals, now, the door is wide open thanks to real time communication and the evolution of online media. Anyone who is interested in success, fashion, or just wants to be inspired should watch this interview.
